A cyber closet?

There’s an amazing article by Michael Joseph Gross about Manhunt in this month’s Out.  It really calls all of us out who use it regularly.  Did you know that Manhunt sees more of our money, not to mention our membership, than GLBTQ political advocacy groups?

And then there’s this doozy:

The most powerful secrets on Manhunt are the ones we keep from ourselves. Practically every gay man has his own version of this secret, which we learned to keep while growing up in the closet: the secret fear that, if we were truly known, we would never be loved.

Yowch — that’s gonna leave a mark.
